The monthly event attracted 100 business professionals who were encouraged to dress in Fiesta finery for the occasion. A costume contest based on audience applause proclaimed massage therapist Scott Hunter, LMT, owner of Central Coast Massage Supply, as the undisputed winner. Scott took home a pass for two complimentary seats on the Magical Mixer Tour Bus for Business After Hours on August 18...one for him and the other for his humongous sombrero.

Speaking of prizes, instead of the usual business card drawings, there were free B2B admissions given away to attendees who happened to be sitting in two randomly pre-selected chairs with the prizes taped underneath. Enthusiastic emcees Hallie Avolio from Latitude 34 and the irrepressible Drew Wakefield of the Santa Barbara Ramada kept the program dancing along, even wrapping up 15 minutes ahead of schedule so everyone could get to work after the 20-second promotion round.

The highlight, of course, was experiencing the up close and personal performances by Spirit of Fiesta Erika Martin Del Campo and Junior Spirit Tatum Ortega Vestal, who both lit up the room with their radiant smiles and dazzling talent. What an honor for the Goleta Chamber to have these stellar performers make time in their busy pre-Fiesta schedules to join us!

Folowing the performance, Latitude's president Paul Avolio gave a 10-minute sponsor presentation that kept everyone well-informed about issues ranging from computer backups to system configuration to networking PCs and Macs in an office or home environment. A number of their clients stood up to heap praise on the company's exemplary service and response time. Latitude 34 is also the official IT firm of the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce.

AMS Entertainment provided the high-quality PA system as always, and Zizzo's Coffee was the much appreciated source of early-morning caffeine.

The next B2B Breakfast will be September 7, the Tuesday immediately following Labor Day weekend. Don't forget that, with the holiday schedule, you need to pre-register by noon on Thursday, Sept. 2, for inclusion on the roster spreadsheet. See you there!
